🎥 What’s the movie about?

On the eve of St. Nicholas Day, a cozy hotel in the Carpathian Mountains is bustling with festive excitement. St. Nicholas and his helpers are getting ready to grant children’s wishes, but they unexpectedly find a letter that was lost over 30 years ago.

It was written by little Borya—a boy from an orphanage who sincerely believed in miracles and dreamed of his most cherished wish coming true.

However, the letter never reached St. Nicholas.

Many years have passed. Borya has grown up and become Boris, a successful and wealthy investor. Along with his childhood, he left behind his belief in miracles, love, and the warmth of family.

Now, Saint Nicholas’s helpers will have to find the adult Boris and help him fulfill his long-held dream.

After an unexpected accident, the man begins to see a nine-year-old boy by his side—himself as a child. This unusual encounter forces him to rethink his own life and remember what truly makes a person happy.

But time is running out. If Boris can’t fulfill his childhood wish, he risks losing his ability to enjoy life forever—and Saint Nicholas risks losing his magical powers.

This is a story about second chances, the power of childhood memories, and how even adults sometimes need to believe in miracles again.

🇺🇦 Ukrainian traditions far from home

For many Ukrainians, St. Nicholas is one of the warmest symbols of childhood. He reminds us of gifts under the pillow, the anticipation of the holiday, family evenings, and a sincere belief that good wishes can come true.

Such traditions become especially precious for families who now live far from Ukraine.

Screenings like these help maintain a connection to their native culture, introduce children to Ukrainian traditions, and create new shared memories right here in Canada.

This isn’t just an opportunity to watch a Ukrainian film on the big screen, but also a chance to spend time among people who share similar cultural values.
