The Ukrainian community in Edmonton invites you to join the ceremony commemorating the victims of the 1932–1933 Holodomor—the genocide of the Ukrainian people that claimed the lives of millions of innocent people.
Every year, Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine gather to reflect on these tragic chapters of history, honor the memory of those who perished, and reaffirm their commitment to preserving historical truth. The event is intended not only to pay tribute to the victims of the Holodomor but also to highlight the importance of remembrance, education, and preventing such crimes in the future.
The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Lyubomyr Lutsiuk—a Canadian historian, professor, publicist, and researcher of Ukrainian history, known for his many years of work on issues related to the Holodomor, deportations, and human rights.
The Ukrainian community in Edmonton, representatives of other communities, friends of Ukraine, and everyone who supports historical truth and seeks to honor the memory of the millions of victims of the Holodomor are invited to attend.
